Do you have Wi-Fi? Yes. WI-Fi is available in all of the Villa’s bedrooms and communal areas.
Do you have air conditioning? Yes, there is air conditioning on the first and second floor. Ground floor is not air conditioned because it is naturally cooled from the big oak tree at the south front of the villa and the stone porch. Bedrooms on ground floor are provided with ceiling fans.
Do you have cots or baby beds? Yes, of course. Just let us know how old your children are and we will arrange suitable bedding. A baby sitting service is also available, on request.
Is a minimum stay required? During the high season, the villa is rented on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. During the low season, and according to availability, shorter stays could be a possibility.
We want the villa to be easily accessible. We understand how much of a pain it is when you get to an airport after a certain number of hours flying, to then have to endure a long journey to get to the place you’re staying. If you are travelling from abroad, Villa Le Cannicelle is easily accessible in about 2 hours driving from Napoli Airport. As an exclusive service for our guests, the local AVIS office can arrange one-way or return transfers from the airport to the villa or arrange to have your rental car delivered directly to the villa. Please don’t hesitate to ask for contacts of the local manager.
Safety for our children is top priority: The attractions and advantages offered by a villa for a family holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you wish. Knowing the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without worrying about other guests is a real plus. Although Villa Le Cannicelle is a great villa for families, toddlers and young children will always need to be supervised by their parents. There is no lifeguard in the swimming pool therefore guests must be fully responsible for the safety of themselves and of their own children in the pool area.
How big is Villa Le Cannicelle? The interiors of the villa measure a total of 300 square meters. Then there are about 400 sqm terracotta tiles and stone paved terraces split on the different levels of the property and over 2000 sqm. of garden and grounds which include a 12m x 6m swimming pool (depth 1.20m-2.40m) and ample parking on site for up to 10 cars.
Can I bring my pet? You don’t have to leave him behind as in general here at Villa Le Cannicelle we are happy to have your dog or pet as guest. There are obviously rules but you can bring your pet with you, so the whole family is on holiday together. We will be happy to discuss it with you in details before reservation.
Cleaning and hygiene are a top priority for our family: Our number one priority is the well-being, health and safety of our guests and team members. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic we offer enhanced cleaning and safety measures: areas and especially high-touch surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant, all towels and bedding professionally washed and sanitized between stays, masks and protective equipment is used by our staff during cleaning and when in contact with customers.
Do you provide daily cleaning? Yes. Cleaning staff clean the villa and change sheets and towels. This service provides 4 hours a day from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm for 6 days a week. Linen changing includes change of bed linen once a week and bathroom linen twice a week.
Are utility costs included in the price of rental? The consumption of water, gas and electricity is included in the price – as is the final cleaning. Eventual extra services should be paid for separately.
Is it possible to rent a boat? Boat trips are not to be missed. Private skippered boat can be arranged on request for trips to Sapri, Palinuro, Porto Infreschi, Acquafredda, Scario or Maratea beaches where you can watch the sun set or visit some of the many natural sea caves with their mesmerizing colorful reflections.
Does the villa have a concierge? We are not an hotel but we want our guests to feel cared for and pampered during their stay at the villa therefore we will be more than pleased to assist you with tips, reservations, travel arrangements and tours of the local attractions. Whether you want a fully-stocked fridge, a local in-house chef to cook your meals or any other extra service we will happily grant your wishes.
What is the local cuisine like? Pasta, pizza and dishes made with the fantastically-fresh fish caught in the sea surrounding Villammare: local chefs know how to make all of the Cilento Coast best loved specialties – to perfection. This said, ingredients which are not locally grown or not normally used in Italian cooking can be hard to come by in Villammare so, if you want something exotic or ethnic, you will need to organize it in advance.
Do we need a car? The beach is very close and the “marina” of Villammare is less than 1 mile therefore is possible to wallk but car is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is quite steep – it is the villa’s elevated position that provides such beautiful views!. A rental car will also allow you to take day trips all over Cilento National Park and the Amalfi Coast at your own pace, without having to rely on public transport or taxi service, which can become very expensive if used everyday.
Should I buy Travel Insurance? We recommend our guests make their own vacation insurance arrangements. A travel protection plan can include coverage for trip cancellation, trip Interruption, medical emergency, trip or baggage delay and more. A web search for “travel insurance” will yield many reputable companies. Travel insurance for Italy could be booked with Heymondo which also covers cancellations in case a new travel warning is issued for your destination, for events such as the Department of Foreign Affairs issuing a Do Not Travel warning to a specific region or country and that warning was first given after you booked the trip.
